etsy pick o' da week!
This week's pick is the etched silver jewelry of Lisa Hopkins Design. It is simple, beautiful, and whimsical all at the same time. She handmakes and handetches each piece individually so that no two are exactly the same. That is a true artist. My favorite piece, though it is difficult to pick, is her Tiny Bird on Branch Necklace. All her pieces are very reasonably priced, ranging from $39 to about $65. So, go check em out and pick up some gifts or a little something for yourself!

etsy pick o' the week!
Greetings all! I had a great vacation to the land of the northwest in celebration of my first anniversary! And, now I can share with you the etsy shop where I bought our anniversary gift (it was top secret before so Craig wouldn't know!)!
This is definitely a unique pick because this seller, Julie, offers the most beautiful handmade journals created from the wood of her father's farm! The shop is called Prairie Thistle Arts, and also offers different types of jewelry, as well as her new fabulous journal necklaces, which I plan to purchase as soon as money affords.
The reason I bought the journal was to keep a yearly memoir of Craig's and my marriage. Every year when we celebrate our anniversary, we will record in it all of our favorite memories from the past year. That way they will not disappear with age and time, and we can share them with our children and grandchildren one day.
In writing this blog post, I found out that Julie has her own blogspot, which I checked out and found, much to my surprise, that she had posted several pictures of our journal on her site along with our idea and a message for Craig and me! (Thanks Julie!) You can check it out here!

Then, go to her shop and find a special keepsake of your own!
